Critical Care Working Group launches the Kalra Teaching Institute

Critical Care Working Group (CCWG)

Critical Care Working Group (CCWG) was convened with the understanding that the practice of critical care medicine is in its infancy across the world. The ability to shape the way critical care is delivered outside of developed nations is the group's primary focus.

The CCWG has its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, USA. The group launched its flagship international headquarters at Kalra with the Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) course that was held on December 3-4, 2011 at Kalra Hospital. The 2-day course was taught by Drs. John B Sampson (Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD, USA), Nitin Puri (Pulmonary & Critical Care, Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA, USA), and Eric Flenaugh (Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA, USA).

The CCWG has planned more such courses in other areas of anesthesiology, pulmonary, cardiovascular, and critical care medicine in the forthcoming months at Kalra.
